Here’s a simple fact of government.  Summits don’t work.  In fact most people probably don’t even know what a summit is.  Its one of those words you hear a lot on the news and in speeches but other than that its pretty meaningless.  Whenever a President calls for s Summit, like the one he called for on jobs a few months back its code for we need to go back to square one and have no idea what we’re doing.  That’s where we are right now on Health Care.  After almost a year, we’re now having a summit to figure out what our elected officials agree and disagree on.  I think that’s been known for a while.  I think this is the first sign that Health Care Reform is headed for the back burner big time.  You want to see something done in this world, you won’t see it get done at a summit, that’s for sure.
