I think it’s the duty of all Americans who have ever invested a dime to read Harry Makopolos new book No One Would Listen.  Markopolos was the whistle blower who discovered the Bernie Madooff fraud ten years before anyone else through his own inclination, but then experienced the endless frustration of mindless regulators who never made any efforts to follow up on the blatant red flags he repeatedly presented to them regarding the largest ponzi scheme in the history of our country.  No One Would Listen not only appears to be a fascinating account of how Markopolos and a few others uncovered the Madoff scam but also a concerning look into the laziness and incompetence that is the Securities and Exchange Commission.  The more who read this book the more difficult it will be for the future Madoffs of the world.
